I haven’t been on this in ages but the time has come for an update.

My name is Michelle. I currently live on an island called Pulau Langkawi, here in Malaysia. Some of you may have heard about it and some of you may have already been here. I work in the marine industry, dealing with yachts, boats and the likes. It’s a very interesting industry and I’m pretty lucky to still have a job despite this whole c19 situation.

Life has not been kind lately and the want to revert to old ways is strong but I believe in growing so ...

I love, love, love a good party. Not the trashy type though (IYKNY). I love eating and (learn) cooking good food and being present, amongst others. I appreciate honesty no matter how painful it is to swallow and I think we all need to start exploring and understanding the whys and hows of the connection between our inner child and adult selves. I think this is a very fascinating subject.

I am currently in a pretty dark place so whatever love and light you can send over will be very much appreciated ️

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m here because traveling cheap wherever possible especially when solo-traveling, is important to me. YOu want to get a bang for your buck you know? However, it is also because this is a fantastic way to meet the locals and do what the locals do. Plus, the MYR to EURO is currently so ugly :( Thank you in advance you beautiful creatures of Mother Gaia.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share with you my Asian cooking skills :) I can also teach you the Malay language (which is very beautiful by the way. It's just that people dont speak it properly anymore, you know?) and also tell and share with you about what it's like to be live in a country made famous by the disappearance of flight MH370, the shooting down of flight MH17 as well as the 1Malaysia Development Berhad's (1MDB) USD 4.5 billion scandal that involves the former Prime Minister of Malaysia. It is said to be one of the world's greatest financial scandals. Oh! I have also been told that i am fun to be around with and i do love to spread love and light all around. We need more of these. I know i do.
