ABOUT ME

I am an experienced teacher. I just received my Masters in English as a Second Language. I speak some Spanish and Slovenian in limited capacity. I will be traveling Europe in September 2013 until May of 2014.

PHILOSOPHY

I have been a wife and a mom. That chapter is written and today I have time for me. My life is to make others' lives easier while enjoying my time on this rock. I believe in doing no harm personally and environmentally. I believe in a self sustaining life style. A job should be fun not work that you do to pay bills.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couch surfing experience has been great. I have made new friends and really understand the differences in people. Living in someone's house for a few days helps you learn about yourself. Why do I like things just so, and why do I organize my house the way I do? Everyone is different and that is a good thing. At my last surfing experience the host was asked to interview with some university students on the couch surfing experience. It was an opportunity to think about questions we hadn't considered about couch surfing.

I am interested in meeting others and exploring other cultures. I enjoy children, learning, reading books, and outdoor activities. I love all four seasons. I am interested in hiking in the mountains and building a cabin. I enjoyed organic farming and would like to have a greenhouse and work the land.

I love the movies UP, The God's Must be Crazy, both versions of The Grinch, Practical Magic, and Molly and Me. For television: I enjoy House, Gilmore Girls, The Big Bang Theory, and British comedy.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I have raised 3 beautiful children. I have been a great friend to many. I succeeded in life from a broken home (my father never graduated high school and my mother was a teen mom) to my children being second generation college graduates. I learn from mistakes and go forward with a mission to improve. Backpacking through Europe will be my true college adventure. Join me!

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

It is obvious I can teach English. I love children and the great outdoors where children belong instead of classrooms. I would like to learn to do nothing: to be at peace just being not doing. I have not learned to sit still with grace.

Ah, the teacher has learned. I am at peace and know how to do nothing.
