I like having intelligent conversations with people passionate about making the world better in whatever way, big or small. I'm very active and enjoy the outdoors: biking, hiking, swimming, camping, dancing, whatever! I love learning languages, reading, trying new foods or new sports, and going new places. I'm passionate about environmental issues and constantly working on living a more minimalist and environmentally friendly lifestyle. And of course, I love to travel!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking for a more immersive travel experience and want to get to know people from the places I'm going to. It's a lot of fun to make international friends in a hostal setting and other travelers are really awesome, but it's also nice to get to know locals and get off the tourist trail.

The Complete Autobiographies of Maya Angelou, A People's History of the United States, The New Jim Crow, and The Open Veins of Latin America are my favorite non-fiction titles. I love novels, too, but can't choose a favorite!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

July 2017 I spent two weeks trekking The Long Trail in Vermont, spent over a year backpacking in South America learning Spanish and doing workaways in hostels and on farms.

I can practice English, German, or Spanish, do a HIIT workout with you, teach you how to throw a frisbee, coach your swim technique

I'd love to take a dance class, go surfing, climbing, any martial art, etc.

Love to cook together and share my favorite vegetarian recipes from home. Also like to go hiking and explore outdoors or any other type of sport.
