Overview
About Me
I'm an artist working primarily in theatre based in Montréal, Canada. I have a passion for theatre, dance, performance, film and all arts. I love meeting new people and hearing their stories and experiences. I love sharing meals with folks. I love learning about different cultures, experiences, and ways of life.
I am travelling with my partner and we are taking time to both find adventure and relaxation in Europe. We hope to spend time in nature, see some art, and encounter some new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I used couch surfing while travelling around Europe a few years ago and met some incredible people through this network. Couchsurfing provided a more personal travelling experience. It offered opportunities to get to know new folks and experience a new place from the perspective of a local, which isn't always guaranteed while travelling alone or in hostels.
Interests
I love story telling through words, bodies, dance, ritual, painting, sculpture, textiles. Art and performance of all sorts interests me.
I love food. I love wine. I absolutely love to dance. I am a hip hop dancer and get excited when I get to show off. I love good conversation.
I also really enjoy cooking. Growing up with a Guyanese-Venezuelan background in Canada, the food I had in my household were of many different flavours ranging from spanish and indian dishes. More than that, I love sharing that food with new and old friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
At a young age, I visited the remote aboriginal village my mother grew up in located in the very northwest territory of Guyana in South America. To get there you must take two connecting speed boats and can only enter if you're related to (or with someone related to) someone who resides there. The village is a series of islands, and one can only commute by canoe or speed boat. These people, many of them my relatives, are so content with their means of life. Encountering that at such a young age taught me a lot about having gratitude for one's heritage and simplicity of life.
A few years ago a house fire destroyed my home. My two roommates and I all barely escaped without being seriously harmed or harming anyone else. As we stood outside and watched our home burn down I was certainly left awestruck. The following weeks were difficult in returning to a regular routine, but I had endless gratitude for still being alive and having all those around me alive. I had a new found value in the idea of a home and what it means to create a home. And for me, that became finding home in people and in generosity. Which is why this network is all the more meaningful to me.
