About Me

In February 2016 I decided to leave my job in Los Angeles to pursue my passion of traveling. Ever since, I have been backpacking in Asia, North America, South America, Northern Africa and around the Mediterranean. In 2018 I worked for 6 months in Australia and am now I am in NZ on a working holiday visa!

My family is from Mexico City but I was born in Puerto Rico. I spent most of my childhood in Brazil, and have also lived in Venezuela, Switzerland, and around the United States. I am incredibly passionate about travel, living life to the fullest, and meeting incredible people along the way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am interested in really understanding the through experiences that provide insight into the culture, values, and traditions. I think couchsurfing is an awesome opportunity to meet new people and really get a sense of the city and/or country that I am in.

I am hosting in hopes of providing the same experience to fellow travellers :) if you’re hoping to stay with me, please read my FULL profile (otherwise I simply may not respond!!)
I believe CS hosts are taking time out of their days and welcoming you with open arms into their homes- the least you can do is take a moment to read their profile. I do not believe CS is simply a tool for a free place to crash.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love concerts and all kinds of music! I am always reading and looking for new book recommendations!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit my job to travel solo! Best decision I have made in my life. This has led to some incredible experiences- trekking through the mountains in Myanmar and attending a tribal wedding, scuba diving in Indonesia, living at a monastery in the mountains of Thailand, climbing a sacred peak in Sri Lanka by myself through the night, etc.

Teach, Learn, Share

Addicted to learning and would love any opportunities to learn cooking, new languages, and sports!
