otherwise a mix of old gold like 'Patti Smith' or 'Tracy Chapman', of new unconventional stuff like 'Tash Sultana' or 'Cigarettes after Sex' , of house and techno at the weekends, of dirty punk and honest folk. and of course all kinds of arabic music. from old style 'Fairouz' and 'Umm Kulthum' to new style 'Cairokee', 'Do'shouka/Luka' or 'Mashrou Leiyla'.

movies: generally I have a thing for french movies. the weirder the better. can't stand the 'romantic comedy' thing where you see 3 mins and you already know the end of the movie.

books: philosophy in general. poems. big fan of 'Göthes Faust' and Jean Paul Sartre
