About Me

I’d love to host other Queer and Trans people or Allies (preferably Allies who have had prior experience or lived experience with Queer+Transgender people).
I began my Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) in 2018 and I'm going on 5.5 years on testosterone and I’ve never been happier! I am non-binary and Queer - I use they/them pronouns, but I don’t mind the occasional He/Him. I have a lot of patience for people who are open to learning and wanting to be respectful, I am not easily offended.

As a traveler I lived in my van doing the #vanlife for 5 years! And went from the so called “US/Mexico Border” to the so called “US/Canada Border” and spent a lot of time exploring the west coast.

Right now I'm enjoying nesting in my cozy home and I’d like to offer my couch for guests in Tucson, AZ. I lived in Portland, Oregon for 4 years before this and in Flagstaff, Arizona before that. I love to travel light and have atypical travel experiences away from the touristy spots or the overcrowded areas.
I am a proud advocate for Environmental Justice and Social Justice. Currently, I work in the non-profit, environmental, and sustainability sector. I mostly work from home, so just keep that in mind if you’re planning on staying during a work week, I need things a little quiet but you’re welcome to hang out here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I accidentally met a couch surfer in Arizona and had an amazing time with her, then I started hosting people and it was a great experience! While living in my van, couch surfing seemed like a great way to meet people and maybe a chance to reset, and stay in a different place other than my usual parking spots around town. Now I’d like to offer that to folks in return! Would love to travel more and couch surf in Europe and Latin America.

Interests

I think my hobby is having hobbies...
I like anything outdoors, learning about alternative eco-friendly solutions and lifestyles, being thrifty. I've been rock climbing for 4 years now, playing guitar for 10 years. Photography, making videos, and I know a little bit about software development.

Lately, I've been reconnecting with my Aztec ancestry and practicing traditional Mexican folk music, meditation, and incorporating more spiritual practices that remind me to be grateful and present.

Activism and Social Equity is also very important to me. I desire Queer and Trans liberation and I try to be actively Anti-racist in my actions while being open to criticism and making corrections.
