Overview
About Me
I'm Michelle. I grew up camping and traveling throughout my home state of California in the summers, and being in awe of how many natural wonders were within such close reach. I developed a love for international travel as a teenager when I was engulfed in learning German language and culture as part of my high school's excellent program. I often think beginning to travel solo so young has allowed my mind to stay more open than average to new cultures and experiences.
I studied Nutrition Science in college because I loved learning about food and the human body which I continue to learn about as a hobby. I found my way professionally working in Southern California's thriving craft beer community (half art, half science), though I imagine I will one day transition into sharing my love of science through teaching.
Life's too short not to be happy, so do what you love, and fuck the rest.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music. Have recently gone through a renaissance by indulging in classic rock and have fallen in love with Lou Reed, Faces, the Kinks. Though I enjoy tons of modern music as well: Dr. Dog, Sylvan Esso, Glass Animals, Matt & Kim, Local Natives, Edward Sharpe to name a few.
I enjoy reading about food and drinks.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Woke up one day in Interlaken, Switzerland and decided to go canyon jumping.
Seeing the Grand Canyon was way more powerful than i ever thought.
One day I want to ride a bike across a continent and see the northern lights.
