About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To the North - Let HK's busy pace and messy charm awaken me from Singapore !

ABOUT ME

Well it's hard to say! I am French American and have travelled and lived in quite a bunch of different places. Lived in the suburbs of Paris, then Pittsburgh, PA, Queretaro Mexico and Montreal. Now I am working full time in Singapore. Why Singapore? The Asian dream that recall as a toddler.

I still don't know what it's due to, but I have an urge to keep on moving and discovering new places and the people that live there.

My ideal travelling is one that is adventurous and not all planned out. I love meeting other people who have travelled, or just anyone who is open-minded.

Otherwise, an interesting project that I've done in 2009-2010 that says a great deal about my interests is Afinida. I am the co-founder and co-director and we sent 8 business students from our school summer 2010 to Mexico for them to help out micro-businesses in overcoming managerial issues. You can visit the website www.afinida.com (out of service now).

here is a personal blog: www.aCommaInLife.blogspot.com (in French and English)

PHILOSOPHY

Life must be lived with the fullest of optimism and humbleness.

I also believe the people make a place memorable or forgetable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well I am rather new and have heard a lot about the group. Important to note, is that I also have encouraged a lot of people to sign up and be part of this community. I haven't experienced much of couchsurfing myself, but I have hosted quite extensively with my room-mate in Canada. The only trip so far that I've been able to organize was in DC. Apart from that I have only heard nice tales from close friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well I personally have only heard great things of CS, especially from two good friends. One of them hitchiked from the Atlantic side of France all the way to India. He then met up with his friend and from Guatemala hitchiked up back to Montreal! Their stories have motivated me to get involved and discover CS.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've lived with a friend in a Quechua community in the Amazon for 80 days. More precisely, in the eastern part of Ecuador. It was a project my friend I were starting and which led us to creating Afinida (www.afinida.com).
