Overview
About Me
Father of two teens, busy with them every-other week. I enjoy going out and doing things, hiking, biking, swimming, star gazing, restaurants, activities, etc.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm most interested in having authentic conversations, and visiting authentic places, in different cities and countries. I find that staying hotels is boring, and I feel separated from the people who actually live there. I learn much more, and find it more enjoyable, to be able to stay with someone, especially if they have some time to talk and help me find interesting things to do, and places to eat, in their city.

Teach, Learn, Share
I love to teach anything: computer apps, science, math, culture, history, travel tips, swimming, snorkeling, parenting, teaching, etc. I love learning all sorts of things, especially about culture/society/history, language, customs, philosophies/religions, etc. I'm happy to share what thoughts, ideas, and time I have while on travel.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Insight into the USA and/or Michigan and/or public school teaching; discussion of "green living", politics, economics, world events; a fun person to hang out with if we're out on a tour. I'm curious, and love seeing culture, talking with people, interacting with locals.
