About Me
Sorryyyyyy I'm too busy to accept guests but once I got time I'd like to welcome you!
I grew up in the Japanese countryside and am a Japanese person who has always been interested in overseas cultures. (●'◡'●)
I graduated with a Master's degree last March.
At university, I studied oceanography and had many opportunities to interact with international students.🌊
From 2026, I will work in the Solomon Islands for two years as a fisheries management assistant. Before that, I would like to travel overseas to experience various cultures and see different aspects of the world.
Not through this app, but I have had Indian, French, Estonian, and American people visit my home before! If I become a host, I might be able to show you some local and special spots in my neighborhood if I have time.
Japanese people are sometimes seen as a little shy and too serious, but I consider myself sociable, proactive, and love to chat !
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to learn about different lifestyles and values.
When I travel, I'm not only interested in visiting tourist spots but also in understanding the daily lives and what people cherish in their local communities. I find Couchsurfing very appealing because it allows me to interact with people who actually live in those places.
If I have the chance to connect with the person who has different culture, I would love to ask questions like:
"What do you love most about this place?"
"What time do you usually wake up and what do you eat?"

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: There are so many, it's hard to choose! If I had to pick one, it would be "Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence" by Ryuichi Sakamoto.🎹
Movies: Comedy, action, romance
Books: Reference books on oceanography, books about elements (I also read literature, but mostly by Japanese authors).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's hard to pick just one!
After a week and a half research cruise, I became friends with an Australian family I met near the port, and six months later I went to Australia to visit them!🌊🚢
Teach, Learn, Share

What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my knowledge of Japanese cuisine! I'll share recipes! If there's time, a kitchen, and ingredients, I'll cook Japanese food!🍳
I can also share the fun of origami, Japanese paper craft.
If there's a piano, I might be able to play songs you request🎹
