ABOUT ME

I hail from Georgia and just graduated with my doctorate in optometry. Was living in Memphis for the past 4 years. Eyes are my passion. Without them, we wouldn't be able to witness the beauty on earth. And I intend to seek and take in the world's wonders! Knock on my door if you need your eyes checked =)

I'm always itching to go somewhere new. What is that saying, "Familiarity breeds contempt"? Am I using it in the wrong context?

My amusements: museums to enrich the mind, game nights with friends, coffee and cafes, volleyball, and potlucks. And I do enjoy the occasional BINGO nights at the nursing homes.

PHILOSOPHY

There's more good in the world than bad.
Don't let your fears hold you back. If you want to do it, do it.
I get peeved about those who are so arrogant about their travels. Yes, so you've been across the 7 seas and then some. But please don't act like you know everything.
Sometimes it's best to listen.

Met and learned from amazing Native Americans in Oklahoma. Danced Cherokee style around a tribal bonfire on top of an isolated cliff.

Got blasted under a waterfall at Niagara Falls. Really didn't have to take a shower for the next week after that.

Bicycled around the outer loop circuit of Angkor Wat temples. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
