Greetings!

We are Brie Howard and Makayla Hamlett, travelers who have been all over the US, Caribbean, and Europe. Our friendship spans over 15 years. We both dream of working with people for the rest of our lives- focusing on youth in underprivileged communities. Brie has her BFA in Musical Theatre (with a plan to return to school for her masters in social research) and Makayla is currently working towards a Bachelors in Communications.

Since we were young, we were known as the two most social people in our classes. We are kind and generous friends with a dedication to ensuring everyone around us feels safe and included. We love animals and we never shy away from a good challenge!

* Brie currently works online as a social media and website manager for a boutique in the states.
*️Makayla has worked for a company taking care of individuals with mental and behavioral disabilities so she is very passionate about that. It has also helped her gain a great amount of patience.
* Brie is a performer by trade- count her in for karaoke anytime
* We could talk to a wall if we had to (We are both known as a “people person” -for sure)
* We love to learn new things and pick up on them quickly

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We believe that when we finally stop traveling full time, we want to have a home that’s open to people from all over the world in exchange for sharing stories, culture, and experiences!

Interests

We both equally love to travel. That is the fuel for this fire. Brie is a master of cooking and performing arts, and Makayla is a music buff of all genres and has a passion for people. We love meeting new people and are always up for an adventure!
