ABOUT ME

So, in short, we're two graduated university students from Åbo Akademi University.

We met at the University, fell in love, and moved in together in 2007 into a 3-room apartment just a stone's throw from Turku Cathedral. We got to know about couchsurfing, had a few really nice people visit us who thought we also were nice (aawh, thank you guys!).

Then, in 2013, we moved because one of us got a job offer. Now we live in a 2-room apartment about 1 km from the market square in Vaasa, in a really nice and quiet neighborhood. We still have our two couches (:P) because they both fit into the new (smaller) living room.

PHILOSOPHY

While Ea enjoys life in the way every silly optimist does, Micke generally takes the more thoughtful and practical approach to life of the true realist.
Ea is the consummate planner and fixer, and Mikael the one who manages to somehow live without a calender.
Ea is the arts & crafts hoarder, and Mikael is the computer-playing minimalist.
Love is the thing holding us together :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, the surfers we've hosted have been super nice and really friendly. We hope that all the future ones are too :)
The most "extreme" visit we had was when Ea helped a surfer get an apartment in Turku, in just 2 days. THAT was really something, since it meant that the surfer in question got more vacation and less stress that what was expected.

Actually, Micke's in to music that ranges from trance to classical. Ea likes everything between chillout, britpop and indie. Ea is the one who keeps filling the bookshelves with fantasy and scifi, but Micke doesn't care, as long as he gets to pick some "sensible" books from time to time. We both like fantasy/scifi movies - but while Micke likes to see the occational scary movie and anime, Ea will sneak off to see the latest chick-flick...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Micke:
Can't think of anything (sad eh).

Ea:
I went on a survival course, and... well... survived on nothing but pine needle tea, lichens and plants for three whole days. Also, I swam in a blue lagoon on Iceland (not the same trip). And, I've watched the whole Lord of the Rings trilogy (extended version) in one sitting. :P And then I met Mikael! I've walked barefoot late in the evening in the St Stephen Cathedral in Vienna, and thread (without permission!) on the grass at an Oxford University. The longest I've ever been awake is 37 h.
