Hi,
I'm new to this site but have opened up my home to many people over the years. I've flown south for the winter, as all the smart birds do, those who work for very understanding charitable sector organisations, at any rate.

During the rest of the year, I cook in a cafe at an organic teaching site in London and coordinate a project to raise awareness of food waste and promote active citizenship among young people. This can range from dressing up in a giant strawberry costume, hosting 3 legged carrot races to writing spoken word with teenagers. Basically, I'm up for most things and love to cook.

Fascinated by every thing to do with food: Eating it, cooking it, food waste, food sovereignty, food poverty, you get the picture. Big on sustainability, not so big on abstainability. Probably a good thing that I laugh at my own (hilarious) jokes, so at least one person is.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Obviously, I would like somewhere affordable to stay but importantly, I am keen to meet people with a similar outlook and expand my world network of amazing folk.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I jumped off the Himalayas with a bloke harnessed to a parachute type thing. I did this with the assistance of an old fella wearing a lunghi and thongs to add weight. It was easier than driving a van around London though.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will help with domestic chores, animal care and light gardening. I am a machine in the kitchen and will feed you until your guts hurt if you let me. I also know about 10 words in Bahasa Indonesian and Tamil and have some Indonesian beer merchandise to get rid of.
