About Me
CURRENT MISSION
waiting for the snow in Sydney
ABOUT ME
I'm a pretty cool and laidback Aussie, I travelled Europe after finishing my university studies and loved it! (It's also where I discovered CS!) I'm just as happy talking to someone on a bus about countries of the world, as I am helping out my fellow couchsurfers or bringing people together. In my free time, you'll usually find me on a mountain somewhere (usually in the winter) on a snowboard. I'm passionate about winter and the magic that snow brings!
PHILOSOPHY
Life is too short to sleep.
After my months of travels, I've discovered that no matter where you travel - whether it's a huge city full of landmarks or a tiny countryside town in the Alps, it's the PEOPLE that make all the difference.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been to quite a few CS events worldwide and am hoping to play a more active role in CS Sydney.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Started surfing couches in October 09 - best decision I've ever made!I feel quite confident that CSers have quite similar mindsets - this free-flowing spirit and sense of good karma. I love welcoming fellow CSers to Sydney or exploring new towns with the local CSers around the world. There is so much to explore out there - just get out there and do it! :)
Interests
Here's a fun fact about me: I discovered the snow in 2009 (that's what happens when you live Down Under all your life!) and am seemingly addicted to snowboarding now!
I also love F1 racing, karting, paintballing, sailing, camping, hiking, beaching, flying. (As you can see - anything in the outdoors!)

Teach, Learn, Share
Australians are well-known for their laidback and cruisy attitude - I can teach you that - all you need is a beach! :)
I'm working in the financial services industry. I have also mentored new business ventures as I have an active business lifestyle. I was the Australian runner-up of the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (gsea.org). So I'm always happy to pass on my thoughts and feelings about business and IT.
I also discovered cooking on my travels and worked as a chef for a while in France, so I would love to cook a dish for you - and learn one as well! I love Vietnamese, Australian, French, Thai and Japanese cuisine.
If you have read my profile this far, awesome! I get absolutely bombarded with requests, so please use the codeword 'mickey' in order to promote your chances of getting a couch :) Please ensure your profile is complete as it is only fair that I get to know you as well!
