About Me

I am Trish from Philippines, Public servant, Chef, Baker, Traveller and a Believer.

I am ambitious, outgoing, and hardworking person. Food, music, linguistics and social work are the spheres where I always find inspiration to continue my progress with passion and compassion. During my studies on Public Governance my social work and my art interests I have been developing my analytical skills and sharpening my problem-solving expertise. Under excruciating conditions in my war-torn beloved home country.

Throughout my life I have always had a keen interest in a Governance It is an honor for me a dream to display a good example of my own culture and language, and to work with people from different backgrounds and cultures. This bright aim which comes true with Volunteer will always motivate me, heighten my resolution and energize my passion to study, explore, share and flourish.

The more I traveled the more I realized that fear makes strangers of people who should be friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe strongly in the fact that you can learn something from every person you meet along the way. Couchsurfing just speeded up this process tremendously, sometimes in the most unexpected ways and that makes me feel incredibly lucky. THIS IS NOT A DATING SITE.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I celebrated my birthday every year at the Orphanage. I am not rich enough nor do I have the luxury of time to have my own foundation but I will make a difference in my own little way.

Teach, Learn, Share

For me, the best moments were those in which I could feel the engagement of students, their contributions and even their will to make the course better. Best moments also include helping out around the tables, when I could feel that students were fully understanding what I was explaining to them, and were empowered to take action on their own. Also, all those signs of gratitude expressed in many ways by the students.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Buy food for me and my host. Cook for my host and clean up afterward. Treat them to a movie and entertainment.
Clean their house, bathroom, car and/or yard. Help them repair their house, garden, run errands and babysit.
