My girlfriend and I (my name is Mickie by the way) have recently relocated to Glasgow where we plan to stay for at least the next 3 years while Hanna finishes her degree in International Events Management.

Hanna is from Finland and I am from the UK, we met in Los Angeles in 2013 while travelling and after a two year long distance relationship we finally moved in together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We both love to travel and are keen to learn more about different cultures. We have plans to do a lot more travelling in the future and therefore decided to host couch surfers in order to build some good karma and connections for our future trips.

Interests

we are both regular gym users and like to stay in shape. However we also love good food and drinks of an alcoholic nature. We both enjoy music, Glasgow is great for experiencing live gigs and concerts.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hanna loves Florence and the Machine, I bought her tickets to see them when they come to Glasgow. Whilst in San Francisco we went to see Ms Mr and became fans, we'll be seeing them again when they perform in Glasgow this Autumn.

I'm really into Hip Hop, mostly the stuff from the 80's/90's, but enjoy most music really.

We tend to vary some what when it comes to movies. Hanna prefers Rom coms like 500 days of summer and the Holiday, whilst I'm into more serious stuff like The Godfather and arthouse cinema.

Book wise... my favourite authors include, Toni Morrison, Maya Angelou and Staceyann Chin.

We would be able to teach English and Finnish.

Mickie could teach you how to cook. We also have a car so if we are not working we could explore the Scottish countryside and coastline with you.
