About Me

Hi! I'm a happy-go-lucky, positive person who tries to see the best in everyone and every situation. I love meeting new people, learning new things and experiencing life to the fullest.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My family grew up hosting exchange students and it inspired me to connect with other like minded, globally conscious people. Couchsurfing is a great community of interesting people to meet and share stories with (like you!).

Interests

I'm a big-time: yoga-doer, hula hooper, roller blader, skier, hiker, and outdoor activity doer in general-er.

Favorite travel pastimes include: checking out local markets, shooting street photography, finding street art, meeting new people, finding free activities and going with the flow.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Anything I can dance to :)

Books: I'm currently reading Even Cowgirls Get the Blues by Tom Robbins. (Gifted to me by a Couchsurfing host, in fact)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My junior year of college I took a year off to move to Melbourne, Australia on my own. I ended up working and living in Australia for 6 months and traveling on my own through thirteen countries for another six months in Asia and Southeast Asia by myself. I worked in reggae bars, lived in artist communes, illegally crossed borders, climbed volcanoes, learned languages, met amazing people. It was a year of exploration, adventure and discovery, which ended up sparking a love and lifestyle of solo travel.

Teach, Learn, Share

I was a ski instructor this past winter, so I can teach you to ski, if the conditions are right. 😉 If they are not, I will most certainly read fortune cards for you, and can also teach you how to meditate or do yoga, if you want.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Friendship, stories, culture exchange, a fresh perspective on their own life.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Bahamas, Belgium, Cambodia, Canada, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Laos, Mexico, Myanmar, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Norway, Puerto Rico, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam
