About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore, Experience, and Enjoy

ABOUT ME

My name is Michelle and I grew up in California, but I moved to Seattle when I was 18 to go to college. After studying abroad ans teaching English in France, I joined the Peace Corps. Currently I am in the East Region of Cameroon, near the regional capital of Bertoua, in a village called Dimako. For those more adventurous travelers, this is the place for you!

PHILOSOPHY

I always try to remember that this is my life and it is happening all around me. There is no waiting for something to happen, I just have to enjoy every minute of it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to meet all the CSers out there. For those who love an adventure come out and see what Cameroon has to offer. I might not be able to respond to requests quickly because of my Internet situation here, but I will make an effort!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The best CS experience I have had was meeting up with other CSers at Oktoberfest in Munich this year. It was so much fun being able to meet other people who were travelling around and like to enjoy beer.

Interests

Exploring new places, reading good books, meeting new people, drinking coffee, dancing, and laughing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like any kind of music that you can dance to (I love to dance). Right now I have been enjoying Passion Pit, Hot Chip, Daft Punk, and RjD2.

I'm interested in all kinds of books, having a mom who is a librarian probably fostered my love of reading.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most amazing thing I have seen/done is gone snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. It was gorgeous and an incredible experience. Next I would like to get SCUBA certified and go SCUBA diving there.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Morocco, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Cameroon, France, United States
