HAVE YOU EVER ASKED YOURSELF WHO MADE IT POSSIBLE????
THE ANSWER IS HIM GOD.
The campaign slogan; Welcome to Kenya. Discover the magic of Africa captures the true character of Kenya; pristine, warm beaches, abundant wildlife, world renowned game parks and reserves, scenic landscape, eco-tourism, unique culture and warmth of the people, hundreds of birds and so much more. These merge to provide our visitors with amazing, memorable as well as good value for money experiences.
ALL THIS HAPPENS WITH HIS CARE AND GRACE ( THE ALMIGHTY GOD)
PHILOSOPHY
INTRODUCTION
We have witnessed firsthand some of the 2.5 billion people lacking access to effective sanitation and have seen the effects this has on the health of children and families, education and opportunity, the community and on basic human dignity. In the past, well intentioned efforts have been applied to fix the problem using pit latrines and ‘improved’ pit latrines but these toilets have been smelly, fly ridden, environmentally intrusive and a disgusting experience for users who have no choice in the daily necessity of having to relieve themselves.
The GSAP Microflush Toilet is an off-grid, sustainable, environmentally friendly, low cost, odor- and fly- free toilet that reuses the small amount (1 cup) of grey water from a user’s hand wash to isolate waste from space and flush the toilet.
A user’s flush of waste directly falls into a filter-digester where the solids and liquids are rapidly separated. The solids are composted in an aerobic process enhanced by simple earthworms (e-fetida) found everywhere in the world. The small filtrate volume is processed naturally in a soak hole – a micro version of a rural leaching field in the US. There is no dislodging of sludge or transportation to a waste processing plant. Every 2 years, the rear cover is removed and organically rich compost is harvested for use in agriculture.
The GSAP Microflush Toilet can be the focal point of humanitarian efforts particularly for school WASH. GSAP and the S-Lab are already training toilet Makers in several countries and partnering with or creating micro-finance organizations for household loans to bring this technology to scale. A 15-use per day single stall toilet is typically sold to a household for $300; a 60-80 use pre day school and markets version completed in a masonry single toilet block with curtain wall is about twice this amount. Micro-financing can effect a revolving loan fund to solve a community’s sanitation problem while creating a viable enterprise for the entrepreneur-MAKER. No odor, no flies, no septic tank and frequent dislodging, flushes on a cup of water from hand washing, valuable pure fertilizer after 2 years - Imagine the possibilities!
