About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learning is fun
ABOUT ME
I love to meet new people and learn. I try not to step back and judge. I love history and can talk for hours and hours about it and love learning new history and people's ways of life.
My hobbies include lifting weights, practicing aikido, making electronic music, among other things.
Everyone says they love travelling, and so do I. So I'm sure we have that in common.
I like to talk.
PHILOSOPHY
I used to have tons of personal philosphy's when I thought I knew everything. Now I think I know nothing and it's a lot more fun.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surf, I host, I show people around my town, and I go to the occasional CS meeting
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
visited 19 states (8.44%)
I have been to 18 countries and have surfed in 15 of them with many great people.
I have hosted a only a few people in Toronto because more prolific and centrally located hosts seem to get all the surfers.
When I was a kid my parents hosted international students and had a few hitch hikers over, and they were always nice. I suppose that influenced me quite a bit.
Interests
I have an interest in people, places, and things. I like learning about people, their lives, and what shapes them. I also like exercise, lifting weights and riding my bicycle.
I actually love studying and discussing political, historical, social, and scientific matters. However I also like just being around people and seeing new things and experiences. Not everything has to be an intellectual exercise.
I study Japanese and Spanish and love learning languages in general.
After living in Japan for over a year I have developed a strange interest in trains, both old and new super high speed ones.
I love synthesizers and making bleeps and bloops on them.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love tons of interesting cultural media from anywhere and everywhere. Too much to list though, and somewhat irrelevant for couchsurfing purposes as I've never used this section as a way to consider potential guests or hosts. When we meet though, I would gladly give recommendations of what I love, and it would be awesome if you did the same.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walking on a mountain range where the only primates at that moment were myself and some monkeys.
The strange feeling I had after skydiving. almost immediately after landing I couldn't quite understand how I had only a few seconds before jumped out of a plane and plunged toward the earth, and then everything was back to normal and I was drinking a slurpee.
Teach, Learn, Share
Hmmm, I can teach about Canadian, Japanese, and world history, how to program synthesizers, a very very efficient form of exercise and a bunch of other things that you may or may not already know.
