ABOUT ME

I am a midwife / lactation consultant working part-time, with some on-call so my availability varies.
I live in a house surrounded by trees in semi-suburbia, with my partner Jacinta, my adult offspring (in their 20's), an assortment of dogs, cats and chickens, all well house-trained (actually not the chickens - they live outside).

Always happy to discover new people and ways of being in the world - the next best thing to visiting somewhere new is spending time with someone from there!

During summer there is also a large tent available under willow trees in the front yard.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have hosted here at home, and surfed in Europe with my 2 kids, mostly in France - had the best time & would do it again in a minute! All of our hosts were wonderful and welcoming, and we had opportunities that we would never have had staying in a hotel or etc.

兴趣

Im a hands-on kinda gal - I can build and fix computers, bicycles and houses (and have); I love my vegie garden, hanging with my friends and any interesting conversation.
We are a household of foodies - one daughter is a patissiere, her partner is a chef so the enjoyment of meals is a feature here!

I have a well-developed sense of humour and Im not afraid to use it.

Can teach - anything about pregnancy and birth; building and fixing computers, and bicycles and most house building skills - Ive built in stone and concrete and glass, I can weld, I can tile and paint and do a whole bunch of that kind of stuff.
I have some counselling training and can teach you some of that - how to be a good listener is the start.

I'd like to learn French and Spanish, and anything really, bring it on!
