CURRENT MISSION
Carpe diem!
ABOUT ME
I'm busy loving life and 24 hours a day is never enough. Whatever I do, I pay 100% attention and I want to enjoy every minute of it. If I don't, there has to be a really good reason for this activity or it's probably not worth doing.
I'm independent and mostly self sufficient. I do enjoy good company but not crowds. Hanging out with 1-2 persons is perfect, more is often too many.
I love dancing but not clubbing. If you're looking for a guide to the Riga night life, I'm not your girl. Currently I'm into Argentine tango (the social dance, not show) but I've tried other stuff too.
I don't smoke and I don't consume alcohol. Life is so much cooler when I'm sober!
I'm much better at face-to-face communication than at online chatting. I love deep conversation but hate small-talk. And in general I'm better at listening than talking, so if there's something special you want to know, you'll probably have to ask.
PHILOSOPHY
Nobody lives forever and you never know how much time there is left for you, so use it wisely. Make the most of each day as if it was your last - one day it will be.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only positive so far :-)
Interests
Argentine tango - I've been dancing for ~4 years now and I'm still fascinated by how body language works and how two people can feel and interpret music the same way. It's magic!
Traveling - I prefer individual travel (no tour companies!) with some planning but also some degree of spontaneity. I like traveling alone and I prefer staying longer in the same area to get to really feel it. Favourite means of travel - hiking or cycling to slow it down, see more and feel better.
Reading - if I had all the time in the world I would love to read every book ever written (in the original language!). Since I don't, I have to prioritize. I do have some all time favourites (see below) but right now I'm into non-fiction: history, (geo)politics, biographies, etc. And, yes, I'm old-school - I prefer reading printed books - touching the paper, turning the page, smelling the book...

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: U2 is my all time favourite, I even went to New Zealand to listen to them!
Movies: I'm not much of a movie person but I like movies that have a good story, that make you think.
Books: (these are only some of my all time favourites) George Orwell, Ray Bradbury, Richard Bach, Lucy Maud Montgomery, 'Momo' by Michael Ende, 'Pollyanna' by Eleanor H.Porter

Argentine tango by all means! I can take you to a milonga or tango class in my town, and I'd love to attend some tango events in your town.
