ABOUT ME

I am originally from California, but I am currently living and teaching 3rd grade in Prague. I LOVE my job and feel very lucky that I get to be around so much joy, happiness, and laughter each day. The only things I love as much as teaching are exploring the world, trying amazing new foods, and playing with my cat, Alfie.

I enjoy meeting new people and can get along with just about anyone. I'm also a clean house guest, always doing my dishes and trying to leave an area as clean as when I found it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm pretty new to Couchsurfing, but LOVE the community of amazing people. All of my stays so far have been wonderful, and I am constantly blown away by the generosity and hospitality of those I stay with. I think it is a really beautiful thing that people are willing to open their homes to strangers. I feel blessed to be a part of this community and am grateful to everyone who has offered me their couch.

CATS! Seriously, if I'm anywhere near a cat I start bursting with child like giddy joy.

Going to hear live classical music

Acroyoga (see one of my pictures) and introducing other people to it. If you are willing, I could definitely teach you some beginner moves in your living room!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Right now I am greatly enjoying taking advantage of the wonderful classical music available in Prague. I've been going to see the Czech Philharmonic a lot :)

Movies: Benny and Joon, 500 Days of Summer, Midnight in Paris

Books: Harry Potter, Malcolm Gladwell books, Mary Roach books

If you have time and are willing to show me around your city a bit, that would be wonderful! I love spending time with my hosts, but am also very self sufficient if you are busy.

I'd love to share traveling stories and maybe even teach you a bit of juggling or acroyoga.
