About Me
Hi, my name is Mie and I'm 25 years old. Currently I’m in university studying math and economics. I see the world as a book I want to read and I've only made it through the first few pages.
I've used Couchsurfing quite a few times now, and I truly believe it's the best way to travel, which is why I want to give back whenever I can find time to do so.
The main reason why I love traveling is because I love getting to experience different cultures, which is why I find Couchsurfing like a unique way to travel like a local.
To people who are interested in staying with me: I have a very busy life and therefore I can't promise to have time to host you far in advance. I hardly know how the current week looks, so the upcoming weeks are way to unpredictable for me in order to be able to answer any Couchsurfing requests. I would therefore please ask that you don't send me a message more than a few days in advance (maximum 2-3 days before you want to stay with me). Also I get many requests daily and a lot of them have not even read through my short profile... So I'll be happy to try and find time to host you, but please respect my request about not asking me to host you far into the future and also to make sure that you've spend more than 1 second looking at my profile. To show this I'll ask you to write "Hi Mia" in the beginning of your message, as this is how I normally have people pronounce my name since it is very hard to pronounce my real name for most none-Danish people 😊
A normal day for me is filled with university and work, which is why I'm typically gone from 7:30 to somewhere around 21. So please bear this in mind when you send me a CS request. I'm basically a workaholic and can easily end up working until 22 if there's a lot to do, so you'll have to be prepared for that case. I do try to be done earlier tho, but yeah... 😅
If however everything works out and I am able to host you (and don't have to use the whole night doing homework) I'd love to get to know you and if you like wine I'm sure we'll be a great match) 😂
También quiero mucho practicar mi español. Por eso, si hablas español me gusta mucho si me escribes en español 😊
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I want to travel like a local. I want to meet people from around the world and experience their cultures along with sharing mine.
Interests
I love traveling, experiencing new things/cultures, hanging out with friends, do rock climbing, reading, enjoying the sun, go to the beach, listening to music etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was I Thailand I got to swim with in bioluminescent water (half-plant, half-animal organisms which emit a flash of blue light when you touch it at night)
Skydiving in Sofia
Travelled more countries then what my age is
Ended up discarding my whole travel plan and go on a road trip with people I just met through Couchsurfing, where we spend the night sleeping on the grass under the stars
What I Can Share with Hosts
Not much... A place to stay and a lot of good stories. I'm a terrible cook and I hate going grocery shopping so I can't even offer much foodwise (the kitchen is basically empty) 😅
