About Me
Hello! I'm originally from Austin, Texas, but I proudly call Toronto home now. I love this city for it's diversity, friendliness, and the many different communities that you can find here. There are so many things happening here, no matter what your interests are, there's something for everyone. But I know that it's not the easiest city to navigate as a visitor, you have to do some digging to find the good stuff. Happy to help with the digging if I can. :) What do I like...I love meeting new people from all walks of life. I love music, film, having a good laugh, drinking good beer, intelligent discussions, dancing, and being in nature. I live with my wife Alison. She's half-Italian. If you're lucky maybe you'll get to taste some of her delicious cooking. Bring some food and we can cook together...one of the best ways to share cultures!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Whenever I travel, I try to couchsurf if I have the time. I truly believe it's the best way to experience a place, through the eyes of a local. I host whenever I can now in order to repay all the amazing experiences that CS hosts have given me around the world.
I am always preaching about CouchSurfing to those who don't know about it. Some people probably think I talk about CS too much! I think CS is such a great, great thing. I have met so many lifelong friends thanks to CS. Never had anything remotely close to a negative experience. Nothing but great adventures and unforgettable memories!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been lucky enough to check a lot of things off my bucket list... trekking in the Himalayas, celebrating Holi the festival of colour in India, releasing baby sea turtles into the ocean in Indonesia, purifying myself Shinto-style in the Sea of Japan in the middle of winter, hiking on an erupting volcano in Costa Rica, hugging strangers in a dust storm at Burning Man, and sleeping in the giant redwoods of the Pacific Northwest. Recently completed a two month bike trip around Europe.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Free DJ lessons, weird dance moves
Learn: I am attempting to learn how to spin poi, and play the guitar. Also studying Japanese. むずかしいですね!
