ABOUT ME

i'm a travel born and breed travel bug that has lived, worked, and traveled around the globe. i weekend warrior far and wide to get local adventures in to balance out the inside desk work. i moved to switzerland in 2013 and lived in the swiss-german area until recently, i'm relocating to lausanne for an amazing gig helping make the world a better place.

PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

when i'm home i try to host whenever possible, when i'm on the road i try to surf whenever possible. i'm looking forward to becoming more engaged with the couch surfing groups. it's been fun turning new people onto the idea and building the network with more amazing people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

back in 1999 (before CS2 existed) i met a cool gal in guatemala who was planning to visit my town of santa cruz, CA - i told her she should look up my housemates when she got there if she needed a place to stay - she ended up visiting for a week, and everyone had a great time (i was still out of the country).

i've lived in houses where hosting house guests was the norm - i like to give people an "insider's" view into a location, an escape from the hotel/hostel mentality. cook some good food and share good stories is what life is all about.
