About Me

How are you going mate? I'm Miguel, I'm Venezuelan/Argentinian traveller. It was a couple years since my last big travel. The last year my travel bug start moving again and then I knew that I should take the backpack and hit the road again...and here I am in the other side of the world living the aussie way of life and I am really enjoyning it.

I'm a quite and friendly guy looking to make new friends on the road, have a nice talk (I can talk a lot), share some food and a couple of beers, hear about your travel experiences (which places blown your head?), know each place I go with local eyes, exchange points of view about common topics, have some fun, live the life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the Internet, it is the medium that has allowed us to build an independence as individuals and get closer to people from all over the world, collapsing any border or flag and Couchsurfing is the best example of it. Being able to stay at the home of someone local and knowing how each society works and what makes it what it is, has no price, nor is it possible to get on any tour.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music, I like almost everything. I listen a lot of music, all day, especially when I'm on my laptop working (with headphones do not worry hahaha). But if you ask me about a particular genre, mine is a good hard and dirty rock & roll.

Of movies I lean towards directors like Nolan, Coppola, Kubric, Eastwood, among others.

Books, I lean towards the literature of the 20th century, from Hemingway to Saramago, but my favorite over all is Hermann Hesse.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Overcome the fear and get out of the routine, to take the backpack and travel the world, to swim with turtles and sharks in Indonesia, to hang over 50 meters above the rice fields in Ubud, to lose myself at night in alleys with graffiti and signs in another alphabet ... risk to live life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Spanish, Venezuelan cuisine, I know a bit of photography and before travelling I worked nine years in Digital Marketing, so if you have some entrepreneurship and can help you with promoting it.

From you I want to learn your skills, language, food and everything you have to share about your culture or way of life.

What I Can Share with Hosts
