Overview
About Me
I'm a 22 year old university student from Puerto Rico, an island in the Caribbean and a U.S. territory. I like to travel, meet new people and to learn. I have an almost finished bachelors on Film and am currently working towards my bachelors in Psychology. I enjoy learning a lot and enjoy sharing with people. I enjoy artistic hobbies like drawing, painting and playing music.
Feel free to ask me anything :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have been travelling a bit and am soon to have a trip to Europe and would love to meet locals who are welcoming and open to sharing their spaces, experiences and could give us a local's view of the places I am travelling to. I am not too big on "touristy" activities of going on big tours and going to the big tourist places. I rather like enjoying the views and the culture as it is experienced by the locals, just as I might do back in Puerto Rico.
Interests
I love playing instruments, mainly guitar and keyboard. I love all kinds of music, especially soundtracks for movies and video games. I also draw, mostly as a hobby. I enjoy art and design deeply. I also really enjoy cooking and learning about international culinary customs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I feel as though I am yet to have an amazing exploit to carry around as my badge, but if I had to point one experience I'm proud of, this would be it:
Every summer I usually work at a children's camp as a group leader for kids. One year I had an interesting boy in my group that was very artistic and would dress and carry himself like a celebrity. I would later learn he was actually a little brother to an actual celebrity, so I could see him trying to follow his steps. At first he was very showy and smug, but he would later warm up to me and shared that he was often sad about his father leaving and that he resented his mother (whom he lived with). This was an 8 year old child, so it surprised me how this boy expressed himself on the matter. Later on he would tell me he often felt like life wasn't worth it and that every night he would cry asking himself if he really should be alive, because he felt like a waste of space. One day his mother came up to me to tell me that he "wasn't feeling well". I told her I knew about the situation because he shared it with me, to which she replied that he had never said anything about that. It was news to her, because her boy would never open up to anyone. She started crying, and although I was 19 at the time, I decided that she needed support and I sat with her and talked her through it. It felt good to be able to be of support to someone I'd usually see as my superior (an adult). She thanked me and asked me to continue being her son's friend. During the remainder of the camp I took the boy out on walks to talk and spent time with him to allow him to vent on his troubles, offering him advice and trying to work as a mediator between him and his mother, as he did not talk to her only seemed to threaten her whenever she tried to talk to him. For me it was amazing because this boy arrived to my camp very distant and acting superior than others, and at the end was very loving with me, participated with all the other children and on the final night, he did a dance for a crowd and was so proud of himself he ran to his mom to tell her all about it. They both went to me at the end of the night and the mother thanked me, telling me this camp had been a blessing. The son hugged me and asked me to keep in touch. For me, this is one of the most amazing things I've done because I felt as though I had a hand in helping a family heal and start their journey to improvement. When a mother and a son thank you for something like that, it's a wonderful feeling I can't ever devalue with modesty.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning and teaching.
I can teach people how to appreciate film and production processes and give advice in how to go about doing any of the many tasks for movie making. I have great insight in artistic views and analysis, especially for projects that people might have in mind. I also enjoy listening to people's concerns and offering my views on the matter.
I would love to learn a new language. I would also love to learn about other culture's philosophies in different aspects of life. I enjoy consuming media from other countries, as it reflects the different tastes in cultures.
As for sharing, I would enjoy sharing my experiences, views and ideas with others. I can also share cooking techniques from my home, as I rather enjoy cooking and it is something that universally can be experimented with.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my company, as I am a very open person and love learning from others through conversation. I can also share cooking from my home and even try my hand at cooking for my hosts with what I have on hand. I appreciate people who welcome others and would love to add them to my social media to keep in touch and share my experiences with them. Even the smallest friendships are worth having. I love drawing and, although my style is rather cartoony and I'm no expert, I would enjoy using it as a means of leaving my hosts a sort of souvenir to accompany a possible picture I would also enjoy taking. I love making memories.
