About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living and studying in Compiègne, France. Currently trying to hug the world traveling the most I can...

ABOUT ME

As said above, the most important things I've ever learned were travelling. Since my childhood my parents always supported my adventures around the world and I'm grateful for that. For each place I visited I keep my memories and learnings, knowing that each place changed me in a unmeasurable way. Together, these little pieces make who I am.
I like very much to share travelling experiences and to take a laugh with different people. I'd say also that I've a quite wide range of interests, always widening up.

PHILOSOPHY

Carpe Diem - live the present
I guess that if were not comfortable with our present why should we be with our past or future? It's cliché but truth..

"Mas você vive estudando pra saber
Na vida não se estuda pra aprender
É preciso viver"
Badden Powell/Paulo César Pinheiro
(And you keep studying to know
In life we don't study to learn
We must live)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would enjoy participating by surfing and receiving surfers, guiding and being guide by others from all around the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just signed up CS but surfing through friend's couches was already a habit.
I guess that is from someone else's couch that we learn most about people's lifestyle and personality.

Interests

Everything pleasant to the eyes, ears, mouth and mind amuses me. Playing guitar, taking photographs, cooking and chatting are most of my hobbies.
Music is a important part of my life since I started playing guitar. I love to play with other people and to listen to music with friends. I'm always open to new artists, in the same way I like to show different sounds that I think are suitable to people's taste.
Taking photographs for me is a hobby generally associated with travelling. But I like photography not only to keep memories, I like to see images that pleases and attract the eye.
The most part of my cooking learning were at hostels around latin America. Generally I don't like recipes, since they make the ingredients inflexible. Cooking should be spontaneous.
Eating and chatting go together very well, it's always nice to eat while chatting with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Usually I amuse myself the most with comedy movies, but I'm also interested in historical among other genres. Some movies I enjoyed: "The motorcycle diaries", "V for vendetta" and all Monty Python's.
Music is my main hobby, I like most of the genres including jazz, blues, tango, rock, and brazilian music.
I like reading books that makes our mind work and principally books that change the way we see the world. I really enjoyed reading George Orwell, Aldus Huxley and Hemann Hesse. Actually I'm reading several books, including "L'art de bâtir les villes" (Camillo Sitte), La peste (Albert Camus) and the autobiography of Keith Richards. However, I'm always searching time to read more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At first I think of the sky. There are many starry skies that come to my mind: at the mountains of Ibitipoca (Minas Gerais, Brazil), in the brazilian swamps of Pantanal (Mato Grosso, Brazil) and, the most starry of all, at San Pedro de Atacama (Chile). But then I remember the reflex of the sky in earth at Salar de Uyuni (Bolivia), maybe the most impressive natural phenomena I've ever seen (until aurora borealis...? I hope).

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach portuguese, or a little bit of the other languages I studied. Maybe music would be cooler... but it takes more time to learn. But I think the most I can teach is about myself, my lifestyle, qualities and defects. It is by sharing thoughts which we learned in books or in life that we exchange the most. I would like to learn about your cultural habits, such as cooking, thoughts, ideas and problems that your people deal with every day. I like very much to learn about citys, their beauty, problems and how and for what they work.
