Meet the world.
ABOUT ME
My name is Miguel Ángel, right now I'm living in Ibaguñe, but I'm from Pereira, Risaralda. I've traveled all my life with my family, but now that I'm more indepedent I have stoped. Stupid, right? But I do want to travel a lot, and I think Couchsurfing fits perfectly in what I want.
I want to tell stories about people. All kind of people. Different religion, poltical, social and cultural views. I am in love with all that a human being can be (excuse de redundancy). Whether is by writing or photography, I want to tell any story I can approach. . That's why I'm a journalist. Usually you'd find me reading, watching movies or writing. Also I'm a crossfiter, so if you are up to any outdoorsy activities, hit me up. I love a good conversation, and that's what I'm always interested when meeting people, yes I can party, but nothing as a good old chat. Also, my biggest passion is cinema
I love getting to know a country throughout it's art, gastronomy, traditions and political history; and this is exactly what all the people from Couchsurfing has brought me. So thank you. In the same orden of ideas, I'm open minded and I look forward to meet people from all around the world with all kind of political and cultural thoughts.

PHILOSOPHY
One of my tattoos explains my personal philosophy aboout life. It says: Ceci n'est pas une vie, it's an allegory to René Magritte's work (Ceci n'est pas une pipe). It means that the fact you are here breathing, eating, walking... it does not means you are living.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I went to Guatapé with four couchsurfers all from different countries and ages after spending a Christmas together. I was hosting Hella, a girl from Germany, and we spend the 24th (Christmas day in Colombia) with my family and at midnight we headed to a CS party. We met some people there and the next morning, we hoped in my car and travel to Guatapé. First time for all of us there.
Interests
A year ago I was all about college and studying, life has tought me that there's much more than that. Now I work (full time), study, I'm learning italian, I go to the gym, party when able, always reading a book. I love reading magazines (Out, Esquire, SoHo, El Malpensante, Kinetoscopio, Bocas), watch movies and collect them. I might have over a 100 movies, magazines and books in my place.

Music, Movies, and Books
I cannot choose one. As in books I love José Saramago, José Asunsión Silva, Chuck Palahniuk, Geroge Orwel, Laura Restrepo, Kapuscinski, and the list goes on; however I'm open to read any book, since I always have one in my back. Movies, I rather to sit and talk all about cinema.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Scuba diving in San Andrés is, by far, the best experience I've had travelling. I had some problems going under water because of some health issues, but at the end I succeded and it was beautiful. The sea is like a whole other universe, the different fishes, the mantas, the coral, everything was so pretty and peaceful. It's a must do, must repeat activity.
Teach, Learn, Share
