About Me

ABOUT ME

My first travel experience was when I was 9 and took a bus for 25 hours from my country (Panama) to our neighbor Costa Rica. At 17 I flew to Spain, Turkey and Azerbaijan. At 18 I decided to leave my country and start off in China. I like doing adventurous things, like swimming in ice-cold water in Vladivostok (Russia) at -11 degrees in winter, going to the southernmost Chinese island (Hainan) and run completely out of money, climbing a mountain in the border between China and North Korea (ChangBaiShan) and jumping from a 60m high platform with my feet tied to a rope (bungee). I like traveling alone but sometimes would do it with one or two friends. I can't live without coffee. I love reading historical fiction. I speak Spanish, English, Chinese and Portuguese.
To our guests: the least we’d expect is for you to be clean and polite. Clean after yourself and if you’d like offer to wash the dishes or do any other chore, it’s important to remember that you won’t be staying in a hotel so you’re responsible for what you do. We don’t ask for any gift in particular if you decide to come here, just be polite, clean and friendly and it’ll be enough.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've used hostels a lot for traveling, until I figured out that using this site is almost the same. Except for the fact that the friends you make here will possibly be lifelong friendship instead of the rushed talks you have in a hostel and the sadness of knowing that even tho social networks help a lot the chances of seeing again those incredible persons you meet are very low.
