About Me

Describing oneself might be one of the hardest tasks to do for everyone. My mood, actions and emotions depend on various things that happen to me from day to day. I tend to be very positive and always smiling but I can have my bad days when I just want to be left alone. I'm also very outgoing and love to meet new people, mostly foreigners because they always have a new and interesting story to tell. I love telling jokes and having fun and am acceptable to all types of humor. I am also considerate towards people and don't go pushing subjects they don't like or don't want to talk about. If there are other, less important stuff about me, like my school, job etc. that you'd like to know, I wouldn't mind telling you about it, but those conversations tend to be boring, so I avoid them as best I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to join when I found some of my long lost friends here that I couldn't find anywhere else. It is also a great place to get in touch with foreigners who come to visit our country or when I am traveling abroad and am looking for a place to stay.

Interests

My favourite topics in a conversation would be gettin interesting facts about ones travells or home country, computer games (yes I can be geeky), discussion about scientific stuff and general opinions of people on random stuff. I'm also a big fan of trying out new types of beer, if one can suggest a good kind ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to mostly old rock, rock'n'roll music and some metal. I'm not picky about the later, aslong as the rhythm is great and I'm having fun. My favourite bands at this time are Flogging Molly, Sabaton and AC/DC.

As for movies, I like all kinds, mostly actions where I can "unplug" my brain and just enjoy the effects, and comedies that make me laugh.

When it comes to books, I'm another one of the GoT series fan. I've also read alot of Tolkeins books (like Lord of the Rings, Hobbit, The children of Hurin...) and all of the books in Eragon series. I tend to stick to adventure type of books because I can get lost in the imaginative world that they describe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Depends on who you'd ask. My parents would surely mention that I finished college with flying colors, whils my friends would talk about how I chugged down a large amount of alcohol of fell over a bush or stairs or something. The word amazing can be interpreted in different ways, depending on your point of view and interest.

To me, the most amazing thing I've done, was help create a big group of foreign people from all over the world that get together for festivals every year. My friends from Slovenia and friends from other countries have started with a small group of people that got together every year and party, now this small group of about 10-15 became a large community of over 150 people. These are people from all over the world that I can now visit and call my friends. To me, that's the best and most amazing thing that I know I've helped build.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not really sure what to say here. I guess I could teach people maths, pronunciation of Slovene words or stuff like survival tips when camping in a forrest? I would always want to learn new and exciting things, be it inventions or interesting facts. Typing all of this here might be too much, it's best to just meet up for a coffee, tea or a beer and discuss it there.

What I Can Share with Hosts

When travelling, I value other people's belongings and am a clean, tidy and quite occupant. If I ever get to stay with another host, I'll make sure that the person I'm staying with will be happy to have me there and I'll try to bring as much fun and joy to the place as I'd wish people to bring to me when they visit. Being a tourist that couchsurfs should always be a two-way job. If the host is nice enough to take you in, be a good surfer and treat them as nice as they treat you.
