About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make the most out of every second of my life. I've met a ton of just awesome people who I shared some energy I won't ever forget. And if need be, help others with whatever I can. Oh, and check as many items in my bucket list as I can

ABOUT ME

My name is Mihai. I was born and raised in a beatiful city from Romania called Oradea. I started traveling only in 2011 and that was somehow "by mistake" but that experience made me realize that there is much more to life than I was taught growing up.

I really like to think of myself as a friendly open minded person. Things I value the most at a person is to me open minded, spontaneous, with a sense of adventure and plain old different from the "comon" person that just walks through life witouth experiencing it.

PHILOSOPHY

I have a lot here but one of the main ones are, live in the present, life is happening here and now. This I learnd from Eckhart Tolle's great book "The Power of Now" . Don't judge anyone, people who judge others based on something, that somethings is what they pick appart about themselves.

There are a lot here, to sum it up would be LIVE, not just exist, and each day try to be better than the version you where yesterday. And I'm not talking about a competitive manor, just have an open kind heart, try and help others and in the long run, you will see that you are actually helping yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed in Hawaii for a couple of days and I've been sold ever since. Never thought you can find so many things in common at first with a total stranger that later became a good friend and mentor.

Interests

Like most people in their 20's, I'm just starting to dive into this notion that is called life. On the weekends I grab some of my friends and go out to play some ball. After that we may go to a lounge or just a pub for a chit chat. I like kicking back, having a good meal and enjoying peoples company. After a late saturday night I'll go home and chill with a movie or a video game. I like going to basketball games also, my favourite team is CSM Oradea, which have been on the rise the last few years and hopefully they'll win the championship this year if I keep supporting them.(They won it in 2016!) When I'm not doing any of this I like to travel.

I'm also into fitness and working out, I really like to push myself with an Insanity workout once in a while. Also like to go on hikes and some yoga.

Music, Movies, and Books

Reading to me is a total release. I read a lot of great authors but compared to many, I'm just getting started but I love this new found passion for books.

I love watching movies and listening to good music. My fav movies are The Bucket List, The Invention of Lying, Lucky Number Slevin, Primal Fear, Star Wars Series, Alien Series, Resident Evil Series, V For Vendetta,Godfather and TV shoes like BBC's Sherlock, House of Cards, House, Lie to Me, Suits, Seinfeld, BBC'S Hustle, Game of Thrones and the list goes on.

Music mostly anything goes, but predominantly rock. It's important to have good lyrics that I can resonate with. I have an iPod and I take it everywhere I go.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess the first time I was at the Grand Canyon. The vibe I felt was like no other. It was so peaceful I can still feel it to this day.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm young but I feel like I've learned a thing or two about life. I know my way around computers but also nutrition and a little bit of fitness. I am willing to learn from everything and everyone, and listing things like a resume here won't cut it. It's when life really happens, in the moment that people shine and you can learn from them or you can teach them what they need and want to know.
