About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Surviving Romanian winter, planning new adventures, seeing more of the Balkan region.
ABOUT ME
People have said, that i'm always happy and positive (they haven't seen me in the mornings, i guess?) and some have also been wondering, if i am ever serious. I am, though.
I'm serious about loving my family and being a good friend to the people around me, about making the best out of myself and this little life of mine, about singing and music, about having fun, about being innovative and creative, about my job, about faith and about seeing as much of the beauty of this world as i possibly can.
I'm a bit weird and i know it, hipster of heart and not afraid to show it.
PHILOSOPHY
I honestly believe, that about 2000 years ago there was this dude called Jesus, who died on the cross for me... and that gives the basis to how i see myself, other people and the things in this world.
It comforts me to believe, that there is a reason for me being on this planet, that someone actually created me, that i DO have a purpose. It's what makes my life worth living.
Many people think that faith restricts you, but it doesn't. Only religions do.
I believe that i've been created on this earth to love people, and i'm trying to live by that every day.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment i am traveling and don't have a permanent residence... that's why hosting is not really a possibility for me right now. I've had some really fun times at CS events and am looking forward to couch surfing around southern Europe this summer!
Interests
Photography and capturing irrelevant details of my surrounding into my Nikon, art in general, music and new sounds, getting to know new people, new cultures, tastes and smells.
Running in the forest and enjoying nature, the sound of the ocean and beautiful views. Eating healthy and cooking with friends. Going to the gym and feeling the burn.
Long walks and talks.
Dancing like there's no tomorrow.
Stepping out of daily routines is what makes me feel alive and looking for new adventures is what keeps me going. Having friends around is what makes my life worth living, making new friends is always worth it, though it challenges me. I get inspired by artistic and extraordinary people and like spending time with those of a kind.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: funny, clever, artistic, beautiful, touching, inspiring, unpredictable, historically significant, well-fitting soundtrack or a genius dialogue (or monologue?) or simply simple (the kinds of movies, where you can completely shut your brain down and laugh).
Some of my favorites: Shawshank Redemption, Kings Speech, Inglorious Bastards, Amelie (and LOVE the soundtrack of this movie, btw, Yann Tiersen is awesome!), and the oh-so-lovely Bridget Jones (example of shut-your-brain-down-movie). And seriously, who could deny Shrek?
Music: it has to have something to say, either with lyrics or melodies or both. Or it just has to make me feel good, happy and positive. I'm a little bit ashamed to admit, that i listen to quite a lot of 80 & 90's music, but also pop, rock, jazz, blues and r'n'b... I can listen to other kinds of music as well (open-minded to new sounds) but for example heavy metal just starts to stress me out at some point.
At this point in life playing frequently: Imogen Heap, Sia, Robyn, Flume, London Grammar, CHVRCHES, Flight Facilities, Rhye, Newton Faulkner, Dido, Ingrid Michaelson, Kendall Payne, Regina Spector, Peter Fox, Keane, Disclosure, Norah Jones and The Killers. So a very confusing mix of tunes.
Books: discovered, that i like reading only a couple of years ago, so there are soooooo many classics i'd still need to read!
The thing is, usually i never have time for that, so i guess for a few more years i have to be content with reading mostly business literature and nothing much lighter than that.
I do read marketing books just for fun, though, Jim Collins is one of my heroes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For some reason i've always had this dream about just lying on a field somewhere in the Alps, gazing, and just enjoying the gorgeous majesty of the mountains.
This became reality in the summer of 2011, as i was InterRailing through Europe with my dear friend. I will never forget the beauty of that moment and the illusion of absolute freedom i got to experience in that place.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am willing to share my experiences and thoughts, both traveling and life in general... as much as i have gathered in these 26 years of my existence.
Though i'm feeling really old already, i can reason to myself, that i'm still young, and there are so many things i still need to learn.... i'm open to all kinds of wisdom. :)
