.. sorry, while i have hosted so many people both on and off of CS, I have been unable to host since i re-joined CS last year, as I left my home base at that time and have been moving around very quickly. I look forward to hosting again in the future.

Got a good early start with the traveling starting in high school and have spent many years in different continents. I have been working in writing and also promotion of food culture, music, art, and local tourism, other collaborations, and etc. as well as massage and healing.

I appreciate good food but I don’t use the word ‘foodie’ : ) I also value being able to be simple and accept and enjoy everything, within one’s limits or outside one’s limits.

The absolute best meals I have had in the world were the absolutely most simple meals shared with me with great love by the humblest of people.

Love experimenting and creating with food and everything else.
I have a deep passion for archaeology and history.
If stones could talk, someone probably said, and well they do actually. (As well as trees, plants, animals, basically everything.)
I love spending time in the ruins, overgrown ruins in the countryside, etc - in the end everything is some kind of ruins, whether we see it or not.

Music and dance have been really essential and special parts of my life. (Will come back to this… . ) … This was greatly affected by a serious injury and cascading effects of the injury for some years but now recovering.

I believe always in possibility, as something alive and precious, and from this I have a deep faith in change as always being possible, no matter what the odds - even if not probable. This has sometimes got me into tough situations that were almost impossible to get out of..

I love chatting and smiling with elderly people, even if we can’t understand each other much or at all in language. Just spending moments together, smiling, receiving their words even when I don’t understand, we are sharing something together, and I feel I receive something very precious of their life…
I really love meeting the families of people I know. It’s like getting to read the back chapters of a book or of a movie.

I just made an account in a last-minute rush so will fill in more details later!
It’s a natural beautiful way, I believe, to travel through CS and other hosting and also to live in it. My place was for years a famous place to stay for many travellers and that helped make me who I am, as much as all the beautiful people who hosted me on my ways. The most beautiful parts of life come from that kind of sharing; I’m new on this site, but receiving and giving, hosting and being hosted, has been one of the threads of my life. In days past where I lived, we always had a few extra keys for travellers to take with them (around the world!) and come back. These days things are a bit different but it was a common idea to welcome all, and I learned so much from those days.
And of course, making friends in the places we journey is what makes the places come alive, even by small meetings.

well i think it always depends on the connection between each two people, what we can share, and what we can learn..
I really love being in the kitchen together discovering cultural differences and similarities - of vegetables, spices, ways of chopping, and on and on! - while cooking together.
I am interested in all stories, in people in general. I think everyone is fascinating in one way or another. Listening or sharing, we interweave, we are the human story, all together.
Smiles, sharing a fun time, enjoying the moment that brings us together to meet..
