ABOUT ME

I'm that smartass dutch girl who's always up for a laugh.. ;D
I love meeting new people! I'm very open minded and love finding out about new cultures.
So far I have lived in 3 different countries, which is probably the reason why I have such an obsession of getting out of my 'comfort zone', trying new things and meeting new people.
I travelled through Australia for 8 months (left in nov 2011) which was absolutly amazing! I met amazing people and had awesome experiences.

Things I want in life; one of them is to learn Spanish (and hopefully become fluent), the other one is to travel the world, discover new foods, and learn about cultures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've attended quite a few meetings in Amsterdam, and want to keep doing it! Loving the CS family :D

In Australia, thanks to CS, I have sailed on the harbour of Sydney (ALOT), attended some unreal parties and met great people. Two other CSers and I did a roadtrip from Melbourne to Adelaide via the Great Ocean Road and we couchsurfed all the way! The trip we did would have been so different if it wasnt for CS.

CURRENT TRAVELS
On the 14th of march I'm stepping into a plane to (finally) travel again for a longer period. Together with Tom I will be traveling from Chicago to Los Angeles in a relocation camper driving along Route 66. We can't wait!
We have to hand in the camper on the 6 of april in LA.

After Route 66 I will continue traveling on my own to Nicaragua (4,5 weeks) and then to Canada, British Columbia (7 weeks). My plan is to end my travels at the end of june (or july.. depending on cash ;)).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- I flew over the Heart Reef in the Great Barrier Reef and Whitehaven Beach.. it was absolutely amazing, it was a dream come true for me!
- I roadtripped from Melbourne to Adelaide with two other CSers, a dog, surfboard, fold up bike and baby seat.. we all fitted in a wonderful station wagon! ;D
- I roadtripped the west coast of Australia in a 4x4 with three other fellow backpackers and saw truly amazing things.
- I went to Iceland, and cannot describe how amazingly beautiful that country is. No picture will ever be able to show how magical it is. I walked on craters and chilled in natural hot springs. Amazing.
