Born in Denmark, my family moved to the USA, I grew up Lutheran, since 4 years old in New Jersey, ending up in Boonton High School class of '73. I was married for 30 years raised two girls and two boys. I have 4 adopted Grandchildren and another one is on the way! Found out my parents were Holocaust Survivors and embraced that part of my past and have been researching it ever since... At the moment I am Hosting the Wednesday night 'Open Jam Band Jamboozel Jam Band Night' at the Historic Stanhope House in Stanhope New Jersey for NYC Blues Hall of Fame artist Dave Fields while he's out of town... The Stanhope House is worth checking into- its the most historic and accessable stage in Blues/rock n roll history still running, the music never stopped...
I play with my singing buddy 'Janny Cash' classic country music and we are on the Radio Show - 'Heartlands Hayride'-WDVR http://wdvrfm.org/hayride.htm and are on the show often and it airs from 6-8 every other Saturday Night, you can stream it online, it's good old classic American Country music

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a retired College Professor, now a Musician, Songwriter picking up where I started in the 70's and worked on a Grammy winning Song and album... Divorced and 'on the road again' as Willie Nelson would say. I am finishing a studio album in NYC with NYC Blues Hall of Fame Star Dave Fields. I play guitar, piano, write, sing and love to jam and play improvisational music. I love street level music, it's real and from the heart, so many talented young artists i want to jam with and give them any help, boost, encouragement I can... Looking for the love of my life I lost contact with so many years ago, promised to find each other, so I'm singing and playing hoping she'll hear the songs and remember them... I know I'm a hopeless romantic, but it's better than being just 'Hopeless' that's not romantic at all :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I tripped with Jimi Hendrix and watched him jam in an informal after hours basement in Greenwich Village till dawn... a total accidental meeting, but life changing... he sat 5-6 feet away and said, "watch this" and went off on such sweet musical tangents, showing me it's not the technique, it's the passion and the feeling you find and then put back into the music that makes it alive... music is not just what you hear it's what you feel in your heart that the musician was weaving with words, notes & sound... like an artist weaved with color, texture and tread...

That Peace, Love and Rock N Roll is not just a slogan, it's a way of life. My parents were Holocaust Survivors from Denmark, my Mom is still badass even at 84 years old, sadly we lost my dad a decade ago. My family was heavily involved in the Danish Resistance and the have made three films about the groups they were active in: 'Flamen og Citronen and Hvidsten Gruppen, the third is still in progress. You can google them or get them on Netflix maybe e even Youtube.
