ABOUT ME

I reckon myself to be well-cultured, well-traveled, and boldly expressive. Outgoing. Outspoken, and a good listener at the same time.

My upbringing has been diverse, and around the globe, as I was brought up in Dubai until the primary, then attended high school in London, and finally graduated from college in Texas, USA. So, basically, I have been educated by three continents and while doing so I got to travel to different countries, meetings with new people so on and so forth.

I learned how to show respect towards one's cultural values, social norms, religion, or race.

Overall, my experiences are larger than life with no regrets whatsoever.

PHILOSOPHY

- The quieter you become the more you are able to hear.

- Have patience. All things are difficult before they become easy.

- I know now that when the loving, honest moment comes it should be seized, and spoken, because it may never come again. And unvoiced, unmoving, unlived in the things we declare form heart to heart, those true and real feelings wither and crumble in the remembering hand that tries too late to reach for them.

- One is loved because one is loved. No reason is needed for loving.

- One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

CS gives you a head start by instantly connecting with you locals / expats. Itis a great platform to meet locals, to see the city thru their eyes, to explore the culture thru their valuable experiences. At the same time, it is equally good of a platform to meet up with expats living in the particular city.

Interests

Some people eat to live, but I live to EAT. Food is my ultimate passion, either tasting or cooking, I am simply food-fanatic. I like to cruise around and explore my dwelling town. I enjoy reading. Above all, I dig outdoor activities. you can take me from hitchhiking to all-day-long window shopping trips, from sailing to jogging, anytime, anywhere. Outdoors, all the way.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have penchant for documentaries, biographies and conspiracy theories at times, i.e., Motorcycle diaries, Super High me, Food Inc., House of Saddam etc.

Music is my soul's food, and I have to feed it well to stay alive. So I have a great appetite for music that ranges from Stevie Ray's blues to Armin's upbeat trance; from Biggie's rap to Schiller's ambient; from Pink Floyd to DeadMau5. I LOVE IT ALL.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Took a gap year and went around traveling Europe, and middle east Asia.

- Went on a cross-country (USA) road trip in 2012 summer.

I can teach you Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as a certified tutor. I can teach you how to cook different cuisines. I can teach you how to play table tennis or ping pong ;)
