About Me

I grew up in Berkeley, California which a unique bubble of its own. I am currently studying landscape architecture and art history at University of California, Davis. In my spare time I teach screen printing and pottery. I love to cook, go to museums, learn new things, draw, photograph, go to museums, garden, hike, hug trees, and meet new people!

I am very focused on school and tend to be a highly organizationally minded person yet my favorite quote will always be "relax you are not in control of anything" because it is really true. You can try all you want to make sure everything goes exactly as planned but in the end you have to embrace everything as it comes in a positive way.

I played volleyball for 5 years, though I have not played in a while if you have a ball and want to play around for fun I think I still have some game in me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I studied abroad through UC Davis in a program called Sustainable Cities of Northern Europe ( in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, and Switzerland) and now I am exploring with a friend!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done volunteer work in Nepal and Nicaragua. It was an amazing and humbling experience. I would go back to live in the areas of poverty I was staying in in an instant just to re connect with the beautiful people I shared good food, laughs, and positive experiences with.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have experience teaching ceramics and screen printing and though it might be tricky to teach you those things I can always give you some pointers on drawing and other crafts. I will always be down to bake a cake or make a salad (or any cooking!), learn something new, hear stories, and enjoy some wine.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I do not have any references because I am new to this but I can assure you that I am very clean, polite, fun, and respectful of personal space/property. I have lived with host families and strangers before in Nepal and Nicaragua (with heavy language barriers) and things worked out great!
