About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Ultimately, win the lotto so I can participate in fun, new and exciting experience without having to worry about money. But seeing as the probability is like 1 in 50 million. A more realistic plan is to finish school with an architecture degree as well as a business degree, open my own architectural company somewhere in Europe. Although saying it out loud, maybe winning the lottery has the better odds. :)

ABOUT ME

I am terrible at at describing myself and often feel that I cannot convey my personality with written words. I like to think I'm a pretty down to earth person who loves meeting new people. I can be pretty shy at times but I try to not let that stop me from having a good time. :)

P.S. My profile picture is of me during the winter when it's so cold out that your hair freezes!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm here so I better make the best out of it.
Treat people how you would like to be treated
Never judge a person by their appearance

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been on here for over two years and still have no idea what this means!
But if it's asking if I'm a decent human being that loves to meet new people and share my experiences. Then I'm an open minded and friendly individual. Who firmly believes in cleaning up after oneself, and being polite and respectful of people and their belongings.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed with some people, some good, some interesting and some just down right fantastic! I usually don't ask to couchsurf if I'm only planning to stay there for a night. But...

One experience I had already bought my tickets to go there I figured I would just stay in a hostel (seeing as a was only staying for one day) when I got there, but little did I know that when I googled the city, they had no hostels, none, zip, the nearest one was a 30 minute train ride away. I thought that it may have come down to the time that I would need to sleep outside, but before I got to that mind set I decided I would at least try to message someone last minute. Fortunately the only person I messaged was able to host me and I had an amazing time, one of the best experiences so far! :D

Interests

I'm a pretty chill kind of person, I love to grab a beer and chat with friends or perfect strangers! :P I love cooking and baking, especially during the holiday season. Arts and crafts take up a lot of my time from sewing to drawing, and everything in between. Which I must point out includes photography. I also enjoy volunteering. I currently volunteer at an all female prison once a week, and also volunteer at a local inner city youth drop in program.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is tricky I love all sorts of genres! Anything from indie folk to rock and roll. I must admit I'm not a huge fan of Rap. And until recently I detested country music, but it's been growing on me slowly, very slowly. Some artists that I could not live without would be; Spice Girls, Michael Bublé, Paramore, Yaz and we can't forget Taylor Swift. Also in case you were wondering The Beetles are not apart of this list.

Movie's, the list is simply too long I would be here for days and that's not even including TV series. A few favourites are 10 Things I Hate About You, Avatar, and of course Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.

Honestly I don't think I've read enough books to really have a favourite, except for a childhood book called The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've ever seen is the earth upside down while free falling from 11,000 feet in the air!

Travelling through Europe although the time was short, it has been by far the most amazing thing I have ever done.

Teach, Learn, Share

Honestly, I am a pretty stereotypical Canadian. I can teach you how to add Eh! to the end of your sentences so that it just comes out naturally as well as how to say a -boot . :) I can also give you some useful tips and techniques to survive through the brutally cold winters, and I can most definitely teach you the right way of eating maple syrup, tobogganing, and ice hockey provided you visit during the winter or vise versa. And we can't forget the most Canadian thing - politeness and how to be patient (practically a master of these traits). :P

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a very capable cook and even more skilled baker. I love listening and sharing travelling stories (I seem to have a fair bit of crazy stories to tell) and I know a few card games that are always fun to try out with new people. I'm well versed in the art of dancing in the street, or in the rain and not caring what people think of me while I do it! :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom
