My name is Mikaela. I go to school in London, and I plan on getting my degree in Geography due to my love of travel! I am originally from New York and have lived in Washington DC. I've lived in Europe for about 2 years during high school and fell in love with traveling after that. My ultimate goal in life is to travel to every country in the world. I lived with a few host families while I was in Germany, and got a taste of the "couchsurfing" lifestyle when I stayed with the families of some other exchange students while traveling.

I have travelled Europe extensively on various solo trips, so I've seen almost every country in Europe (bar Scandinavia and the Balkans, but that's next on my list!). So I can give you good suggestions for upcoming trips :)

More about my interests: I love watching movies in my spare time, particularly independent films or anything David Lynch. I love 80s music, the Smiths, the Cure, New Order, Simple Minds, etc. etc. Pretty much anything vintage or antique is nice and of my interest. I love being outside (when its warm out) and enjoy outdoor sports, running, walking, going to the beach, kayaking, pretty much anything,

I am a really open person, and very friendly. I love meeting new people and getting to know new friends, particularly when they are from somewhere I am not familiar with, because I love learning new things. I travel alone a lot, so couchsurfing to me is great because I can be shown around by locals and make new friends.
