ABOUT ME

Hi there! My name is Mikala, I am a free spirt ready to explore the world. I started traveling when I was young as an exchange student to Brazil for a year, while in High School. I loved embracing the culture in South America and took advantage of my time there, also checking out Peru. After Brazil I traveled to Paris and France, where I immediately fell in love. Although I was only in Europe for a short period I knew I had to get back. And thats where couch surfing has fallen into my lap.. saying "hey get the hell out of the states and explore, you don't need thousands of dollars, just the will to make it happen."

A little more about myself- I am the outdoorsy type as I grew up in Tahoe I am used to all four seasons. I can enjoy a relaxing day out on the boat wake boarding or a few runs on the slope snowboarding.. and on those very few lucky days we can do both, when the weather allows. I am working on my French but as of right now its pretty pathetic. I just got back from 8 months of traveling around the world (Europe, Japan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Cambodia) so I am calling Tucson my home for the next 12 months until South America . I enjoying trying new foods, yoga, great conversation, meeting new people, and taking advantage of every moment. You gotta live life in the present!
