Hello! My name is Mikayla, I am a 21 year old university student currently on a study abroad program at the University of Edinburgh! When I am not travelling the world (which I wish was always :) ) I study Linguistics at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Now that the boring facts are out of the way, a little bit about me! I am a fun, social girl who is always respectful of other people's spaces. I love meeting new people from all over the world and learning about their lives and cultures!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A couple of reasons! I am really interested in getting to know new people on a deeper level, not just passing by. I think couch surfing is an amazing way to travel, and learn about other cities from locals who know it! I am currently a student at university, and everyone knows money can get tight when there is all sorts of bills to pay, so couchsurfing is a great way to make travelling affordable!

I have three black belts in karate! Growing up, martial arts was a great way for me to be active, get out some of those middle school frustrations and have so much fun!
