Overview
About Me
We are a family of three, Mike is a teacher at an international school in Vicenza, Italy. Tausha is an engineer. And theorodre is our 4 year old son. We love traveling and doing adventure activities. We prefer to host families or people doing bicycle trips. I am not paying the money for my account so I can read or send messages. If you are a family or on a bike adventure feel free to find Mike on facebook and we’d love to host you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I travel around Europe on my motorcycle and I like the idea meeting/ staying with locals when I visit new cities. I am looking for people to enjoy my adventures with and experience the local flavor of the cities I visit. If I've requested a stay it's because I read your profile and we have something in common I'd like to do with you.
I also like beer. I can't find locally what I like most so I started brewing my own. There are also so many cities with breweries that I will not be able to try all of them, so I very much appreciate that if I host you that you bring a local beer from where you live. Other ways to increase your probability of staying with me would be to have some references as well as host some surfers. I like to host guests who equally give back to the community.
I like to host surfers with similar interests and if I agree to host you it's because I have time to show you around or do dinner with you in the evening. I kid you not, I get a request a day from a surfer looking for a host in the summer time. If you are going to just send a generic e-mail request, don't. That will save me the bother of having to decline you. Let me know in your request why you want ME specifically to host you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I bicycled 5000km from Seattle, Washinton to Washinton D.C. over the summer in 2011. It was a great experience and I wrote a book about it.
I sea kayaked up to a glacier as it was calving in the ocean.
Got married at St. Michael's cave in the Rock of Gibraltar.
Caught a 160 kg tuna fish in the straights of Gibraltar.
Teach, Learn, Share
Mike- if you need to know anything about math, biology, or robotics I can probably help you because those are the subjects I teach. I also am quite the woodworker. I have made table, chairs, bowls, a working clock, and other artwork.
Tausha- if you like space I am space nut and studied astronautical engineering in college before I worked at NASA for 5 years. I also play the piano.
Theodore- I like playing games and taking guests on the tour of our house.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I was a bicycle mechanic before becoming a teacher so I can fix your bike. I also know some guitar.
