Hey people! My name ist Mike, I am 25 years old and I come from Germany.
I am studying spanish, portuguese and political science at the University of Leipzig where I live in a shared apartment with two other students.
Although I have been living In Leipzig for a bit more than 2 years now, there are still lots of things for me to discover. That's why I try to see and do something new every weekend. Since a joy shared is a joy doubled you are always welcome to join!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a great possibility to meet new people, to get to know other places and cultures, both by hosting and staying with other members! So it's all about sharing, which I consider a great concept!
Besides - from my own experience - I can say couchsurfers are great people! They are usually very open minded, interesting, spontaneous, generous and cool people to hang out with.

I am interested in foreign languages, cultures and meeting funny and nice people from other places. I like to travel beyond the tourist-crowded areas, to get to know locals who like to share how they live in another part of the world and to do the same for them when they visit me.

My taste of music is really random. It reaches from salsa-music, to samba, rock, HipHop, to classical music. There are songs I like in almost every kind of genre.

My all-time favorite movie is Forrest Gump

Three of the books I enjoyed most were "The Royal Game" (Stefan Zweig), "1984" (George Orwell) and "the Perfume" (Patrick Süßkind).

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Between 2011 and 2012 I spent one year doing a voluntary service in Puebla, Mexico and from 2015 to 2016 I studied in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. I fell in love with both countries and was often impressed by the kindness, openmindedness and hospitality of the people there. I can highly recommend both countries as travel destinations due to the people as well as their culture, cuisine and diverse landscapes.

I can teach you some german (traditionally starting with swearwords), share my culture with you and show you around the beautiful city of Leipzig.
Furthermore I would like to learn about you, the things you usually do, listen to nice anecdotes of your life and share a good time with you!
