About Me

Im interested in different cultures and ways of life, especially the last couple years. I've worked for the past 4.5 years pretty hard and am looking for a new chapter in my life. I've been travelling since September and now into balkin countries!! Leaving for India in September:) I love all people and ways of life. Whether you wanna check out a match and have a few beers, go for a run and do some yoga, cook all evening, discuss politics, watch movies, spiritually and well being etc... I love it all and always want to dabble in everything

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am couch surfing to save money and have a more meaningful interaction with the places I'm visiting. I really want to learn about other cultures, the history of where I am and other things from the perspective of locals not other travelers.

Interests

I love music, playing and listening. Playing sports (hockey, basketball, baseball... am terrible at soccer but would love to pick it up!) Reading (right now shantaram!). Cooking and eating well/nutrition. Exercise and health. Meditation. I'd love to learn about local cuisine MORE THAN ANYTHING!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite band is Wilco!! Yaaa!!
I love most types of music but most familiar with alt rock, electronic, 60's/70's rock, lo-fi music (pixies etc), grunge 90s, and a bunch more
My favourite books I've read recently are 'Grist for the Mill by Ram Dass'... reading shantaram which over 900 pages!! Eeek

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed a 4100 meter mountain in Morocco! Which is high for me

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn and to teach. Process of learning is better then whatever it is your learning. An ol' Chinese proverb says "tell me;I'll forget, show me;I'll remember and involve me;I'll understand" so I really dig this. Applies even for travelling!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share any help needed around the house, cook, play you music on my guitar. Mainly cook though, I love that stuff.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Bulgaria, England, Honduras, Ireland, Italy, Moldova, Morocco, Netherlands Antilles, Nicaragua, Scotland, Spain, Turkey, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, France
