About Me

Hi guys! My name is Mike, I'm 25 and just finished my PhD. Hence I'm celebrating with a massive European trip!
I split my time between research (immunology, stress and exercise), lecturing at Bond University on the Gold Coast (in exercise physiology, and a little bit of biochemistry), and I also run the Brisbane Studio for a small made-to-measure suit company called The Black Label Tailoring. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm sick of studying, now its time to travel! I decided to drop everything and escape, explore, get lost, have fun, and experience something completely different. Heading to Europe solo, the more friends I make along the way, the better! So I can experience some real culture and not be such a tourist!

I learnt about couch surfing from my Danish roommates a few years ago when they came to Australia and thought I'd have to give it a go when I travel.

Interests

I love fashion, specifically tailored suits, though I haven't packed much in travelling around Europe.
I enjoy staying active and healthy, I cycle, gym, run, swim and surf when I can. One of the reasons I'm heading to Belgium, Italy, and France is to watch some bike races first hand.
Also very partial to a few drinks, good chats, and good times with great friends.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anything about the human body, I am a bit of an encyclopaedia.

Trying to explore my much-starved creative side, I enjoy writing and music.
