About Me

My name's Mike and I'm 24. Don't ask me why a guy from Ukraine has such an English-like name. This comes from my trip to Alaska where 5 US guys were not able to pronounce my Ukrainian name :)
I'm currently working as an auditor at KPMG Ukraine and pursuing an ACCA certification. Ah, that's boring.
I like travelling and visiting places that are particular to local people, this is what you probably won't find in those thick tourist guides. This is what makes a travel and communication between couchsurfers really memorable and enjoyable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a great tool that connects people from all round the world and engages into the local culture, tastes, and worldview.
There is no other place where you can meet people with same interests, get to know local cuisine, share your own experience and recommend people places to visit, tell people your story, tell about your country, invite and host people from round the world.

Interests

I like travelling, listening to good music, spending time with friends, watching x-games (moto trial), and cannot live without football.

Music, Movies, and Books

The types of music I prefer are: rock, classical, and electronic
Movies: I like Guy Ritchie movies, Martin Scorsese movies, and Luc Besson movies

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've always liked the TV show Deadliest Catch, where people try to catch the crabs in the Bering sea in Alaska.
So one year I've went to Alaska to do some fish processing (crab catching requires extra skills :)) for the summer season, winter season is something crazy.
And it was really something amazing, let alone the 18-20 hour working day, but the scenery, mountains, glacials, are something unforgettable.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to share my experience about travelling and be a good advisor on the places to visit :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I consider Couchsurfing to be a cultural-communicational tool, which allows people to get to know each other better.
Local souvenirs are also a good thing to share :)

Bulgaria, China, Egypt, France, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Libya, Poland, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United States, Viet Nam
